Cross Vane Trap
Suitable for catching bark beetles, the Cross Vane Trap consists of 2 interlocking plastic panels coated on both sides with non-drying glue.
The Cross Vane Trap is recommended as a more economic alternative to the Bark Beetle Slit Trap
The trap can act either as a blunder trap in suspected flight paths, or an attractant pheromone can be added. Beetles, attracted by the pheromone, hit against the trap-face and are caught on the glue coated faces.
The Cross Vane Trap is suitable for monitoring and mass trapping of Ips and Scolytus species e.g.
European spruce bark beetle (Ips typographus)
Striped ambrosia beetle (Trypodendron lineatum)
Six-toothed spruce bark beetle (Pityogenes chalcographus)
Pine shoot beetle and lesser pine shoot beetle (Tomicus piniperda)
and others.
